World Ozone Day observed
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 16, 2023: World Ozone Day was observed at Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, in Rajanna-Sircilla district on Saturday, to celebrate the Vienna convention for the protection of the Ozone layer.
It was a day to remind the students about the significance of the Ozone layer, the efforts at global scale that have helped in its road to recovery and the need to continuously search possible solutions to preserve it by eliminating man-made chemicals. On this occasion, the students Bhargava Sharma, Aravind and Sagarika made power point presentations on the importance of protection of Ozone layer from depletion.
College Chemistry department under the supervision of incharge Vani conducted the programme. Incharge principal Dass, faculty members Krishna Murthy, Anjaneyulu, Sravan, Bikshmaiah, Dharmapuri and others participated in the programme. The faculty members shared that the day was observed to reiterate to the students that life is not possible on earth without ozone layer.
