World Environment Day celebrations conclude at NTPC Ramagundam

 

PEDDAPALLI: The closing ceremony of World Environment Day organised by the NTPC Ramagundam concluded on Monday (August 1) at Kakatiya Hall of NTPC Ramagundam.

Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar was the Chief Guest for the event.  The ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp followed by NTPC Geeth. Later, cultural programs such as dance and skits with the impetus on shaping the environment were performed by students of ZPHS School, Kendriya Vidyala and Sachadeva School.

Guest of Honour, Environment Engineer of Telangana State Pollution Control Board  K. Ravi Das underlined the importance of safeguarding the natural resources and preserving the environment at large.

The CGM stressed the individual actions that can promote a cleaner future. He also encouraged the gathering to take all possible steps to keep mother earth pollution free and beautiful.

The event concluded by distributing prizes to the winners of various competitions organized on the occasion of World Environment Day 2022 by the EMG Dept of NTPC Ramagundam.

The program was graced by President DMS  Usha Kumar, GM – TS  Pushpendra Kumar Laad, GM-FGD Avinash Saraswat, GM-ADM  Rabindra Patel, GM-Project  Prasanjeet Pal, GM-O&M Atul Kamalakar Desai, GM-Maintenance Alok Chand Takur, GM-Quality Mohan Reddy, GM-RE  Anil Kumar, GM – Commissioning Hare Ram Singh, CMO Dr. Shri. Lahari, GM  Narayana, HOHR Vijay Laxmi madam.

Office bearers of NEAR, Union & Association, SC/ST Association and CISF also attended the event.
