WARANGAL: Ahead of the ensuing Bathukamma festival scheduled to be held on October 3, 2022, the women employees of Warangal District Cooperative Central Bank (WDCCB) have participated in the Bathukamma celebrations on the main bank premises with much pomp and gaiety in Warangal town on Saturday (October 1, 2022).
The women employees clad in traditional attire arrived at the bank with colourfully decorated Bathukamma (festival of flowers) by arranging different varieties of flowers in conical shapes. They placed the Bathukammas at the centre and danced around them after offering prayers to the Goddess Gauri.
The event was coordinated by DGM Rohini and main bank manager Swati Niharika. AGMs Radhika and Damayanthi also supported the programme and played an active role in the success of the festivities. WDCCB chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao, CEO Chinna Rao, general manager B Sridhar, DGM Karuva Naik and others were also present.
Amid scintillating music and illuminations, the women employees of DCCB participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm and danced rhythmically to the traditional folk songs of Telangana. They said that the Bathukamma festival of the culture and tradition of the Telangana womenfolk to worship the Goddesses during the nine-day celebrations.
