KARIMNAGAR: Why senior IAS officer Akunuri Murali and IPS officer Dr RS Praveen Kumar had resigned to their posts, questioned former health Minister Etala Rajender.
Dr RS Praveen Kumar had bought several reforms in the Social welfare residential schools and transformed the student community. But in last three years, the government had failed to provide diet charges and funds for the creation of infrastructure in the residential schools forcing Mr Praveen to resign, he stated.
Talking to newsmen in Huzurabad town on Thursday, Mr Rajender alleged that the government had deployed three vehicles to follow Dr RS Praveen Kumar and six vehicles to follow his movements by the intelligence officials. “I am a politician so the intelligence people would follow. But why the Intelligence officials are following Praveen Kumar, who is a former IPS officer”, he asked.
He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao did not attend the farewell party of senior IAS officer and brainchild of TS –iPASS and Chief Secretary Praveen Chandra. Mr Rao had given an extension to all officers, but he did not give it to Praveen Chandra, he said and demanded the government to disclose the details about how many dalit officers were given good posts during his regime. He said that the TRS government had never given any postings to officers who had supported during the statehood movement.
He dared the TRS government for an open debate on the prevailing financial position and implementation of various schemes in the state. He said that the government was not having the guts to allocate at least Rs 10 crore for the Dalit bandhu scheme with the prevailing precarious financial position in the state. Ridiculing the government claims of providing Dalit bandhu to all the dalits in the state, he said that the government requires Rs 1.7 lakh crore for the implementation of the scheme and it would take another 17 years and added that the people have not given any undertaking that they would elect only TRS for another 17 years.
He charged that the government had failed to launch Dalit bandhu in CM’s adopted village of Vasalamarri as the funds allocated were still with the district Collector. He demanded the government to prove its sincerity by depositing the dalit bandhu amount in the bank accounts of all the dalits in the Huzurabad assembly segment before the issuance of election notification.
He launched a scathing attack against the Chief Minister for remaining indoors and not visiting the people at the daily ‘praja darbar’ programme conducted by all the Chief Ministers in the state. He charged that Mr KCR was the only CM who do not visit the office or meet the people but still enjoys all the privileges provided by the taxpayers money. Former MPs Jitender Reddy, G Vivek Venkat Swamy, former MLA Anugu Ravinder Reddy, former Hyderabad Mayor Karthika Reddy, BJP district president G Krishna Reddy and others were also present.
