Vaishnava sangham performs marriage of poor girl

KARIMNAGAR: In a novel initiative and noble gesture, Chattada Sri Vaishnava sangham has performed the marriage of a poor girl of their community with the support of their community members support in Karimnagar town on Saturday (December 17, 2022).

The marriage of Divya, daughter of Perambuduri Swaroopa and Swamy from Jawaharipet village of Illanthakunda mandal was fixed, but they were unable to perform the marriage due to financial constraints. When the family approached the Vaishnava Sangham, the members readily agreed to peformed and alerted all its members and raised funds.

Accordingly, they conducted the marriage of Divya on a grand scale at a private function hall in Karimnagar town on Saturday and won accolades for their noble gesture. They also hosted sumptuous feast to all the guests and conducted all the formalities of the marriage.

Vaishanava sangham district president Jagannatham Srinivas Swamy, honourary president Janampeta Maruthi Swamy, zonal vice president Taduru Karunakar, women’s wing vice president Sricharana, women’s secretary Andalu, organizing secretary Sampath Kumar, joint secretary Manohara Swamy, former secretary Tirunagiri Ravinder and others were also present.
