Tula Uma to contest from Vemulawada assembly segment on BJP ticket

BJP releases its fourth list of 12 candidates

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 07, 2023: Integrated Karimnagar district former Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma was named as the official BJP candidate from the Vemulawada assembly segment.

The BJP had announced the fourth list with 12 candidates to contest the Telangana Assembly elections in the state. Tula Uma formerly associated with the TRS (now BRS) had quit the party and joined the BJP along with Huzurabad legislator Etala Rajender. With the support of Etala Rajender, she could secure the party ticket from Vemulawada assembly segment. Former Union Minister and former Maharashtra state governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao’s son Dr Vikas had campaigned rigorously expecting the party ticket from Vemulawada assembly segment. But, at the last minute adjustment, he was denied the party ticket.

In another development, the BJP had fielded Bomma Sriram Chakravarthy from Husnabad assembly segment. He was formerly associated with the Congress party and joined the BJP expecting the party ticket.

The other candidates list include; Durgam Ashok (Chennur-SC), Veddapally Subhash Reddy (Yellareddy), Doodi Srikanth Reddy (Siddipet), Peddinti Naveen Kumar  (Vikarabad-SC), Bantu Ramesh Kumar (Kodangal), Boya Shiva (Gadwal), Sadineni Srinivas (Miryalguda), Chalamalla Krishna Reddy (Munugode), N Mogiliah (Nakrekal-SC) and Azmeera Prahlad Naik (Mulug-ST).
