MUMBAI, JUNE 08, 2023: “It’s a long cherished dream come true for the people of Maharastra state as very soon Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Balaji temple is going to come up in Navi Mumbai to bless all of us”, said Maharastra Chief Minister Eknath Sambhaji Shinde.

The Bhoomi Pooja event for constructing the Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) temple took place on the 10 acres of land allotted by the Government of Maharashtra in Ulve at Navi Mumbai on Wednesday. The Chief Minister along with Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis took part in the auspicious event.
Later the media persons were briefed about the upcoming temple. The CM of Maharastra commenced his conference chanting “Venkatramana Govinda”. Today is a very memorable day for our Maharashtra, as the replica of Tirupathi Balaji mandir is being constructed in Navi Mumbai soon. Not everybody is fortunate enough to visit Balaji in Tirumala. So the upcoming temple will resolve this longing desire of the people of Maharastra to have darshan of Sri Balaji Venkateswara in Mumbai itself”.
Adding further he said, “One more thing is that the 22 km longest single bridge of Mumbai Trans harbour link which is coming up shortly is getting connected to Mahalakshmi temple. All these works are taking place with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. We extend our complete cooperation on behalf of the Government of Maharastra towards the speedy completion of the Balaji temple in Navi Mumbai. I want to thank TTD Trust Board Chairman, members, officials, Donor, our officials and everyone who have been associated with this divine task”, he maintained.
Mr YV Subba Reddy, the Chairman of the TTD Trust Board said, “I would like to extend my special thanks to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy who has advised us to construct a massive temple of Lord Balaji akin to Tirumala temple as it is a longing desire of the people of Maharastra. The temple plan is ready and the CMD of Raymond Group Gautam Hari Singhania has come forward to donate Rs.60-75cr towards the construction of the temple on donation. Besides the temple, Pushkarini (Sacred Temple Water Tank for taking a holy dip), Alankara Mandapam (Ritual Hall), Ratha Mandapam, Vahana Mandapam and Four Mada Streets encircling the shrine would also be constructed similar to Tirumala. The entire structure will be built with stone sculptures. This temple will become a reality in Navi Mumbai in less than two years. I thank the CM Eknath Shinde ji and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis ji, the donor Sri Singhania ji and former minister Sri Aditya Thackeray who took the initiative in the allotment of land towards the construction of Sri Balaji temple in Navi Mumbai, he added.
Raymond group C&MD Gautam Singhania said, “It’s a very happy day for me. I have been visiting Tirumala Balaji temple for the past five decades and am grateful that we are given an opportunity to construct a temple of Lord Venkateswara in Mumbai. This temple will do tremendous good to the people of Maharastra. With the support of everyone, we will build this temple with great speed. I thank everyone for giving me this divine opportunity”.
