KARIMNAGAR:  The Karimnagar TRS leaders and municipal corporators have alleged that BJP State president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar had abruptly ended his ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ owing to poor response from the public and not because of any health ailments following the ‘sunstroke’.

How can the MP suffer from sunstroke when he was staying in an ultra-modern caravan vehicle costing more than Rs 10 crore, they questioned. They charged that the BJP leader had launched the padayatra only for his selfish political mileage and resort to ‘collections’.

Talking to newsmen at Minister’s Meeseva office in Karimnagar town on Monday, TRS leaders Mendi Chandrashekhar, Arsha Mallesham, Pittala Srinivas, corporator Nampalli Srinivas and others flayed the Karimnagar MP for neglecting his parliament constituency after his elections for the last three years. They demanded the MP to release a white paper on the developmental works taken up during his three years tenure.

Stating that the BJP leader talks about the ‘Hindu’ sentiment and temples, the TRS leaders asked what measures he had taken for the development of the ancient temples in Vemulawada and Kondagattu shrines which fall in his parliament constituency. Alleging that the BJP leader was provoking the youth with his speeches, he called upon the youth to be wary about the dubious tactics of BJP leader and focus on their careers.

He demanded that the BJP leader to implement the Dalit bandhu scheme throughout the country if the party was committed for the welfare and upliftment of the Dalits.
