Etala Rajender takes oath as MLA in Assembly

Says BJP would attain power in Telangana state

HYDERABAD: BJP leader and former Minister Etala Rajender, who was triumphed from the Huzurabad assembly segment in the by-elections, took oath as the Member of Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.

Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Rajender, who was elected as legislator for the seventh time. Later, the Speaker congratulated Mr Rajender. It may be recalled that Mr Rajendeer was removed from the TRS government on the charges of encroachment of assigned and endowments lands. Later, he resigned to his legislator post and joined the BJP and got elected as MLA with a thumping majority in the by-elections

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rajender predicted that the TRS government would collapse anytime. “The victory of BJP in Huzurabad is only a beginning and in the next elections the BJP will sweep the elections and form the government in Telangana state”, he exuded with confidence. He reiterated that the BJP would launch crusade against the anti-peoples and autocratic TRS government in the Telangana state.

Ridiculing the proposed TRS dharnas on November 12 against the Union government demanding the procurement of the paddy, he asked who procured the paddy all these years in the Telangana state. He flayed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for planning to stage a Dharna chowk in Hyderabad when he opposed the dharna chowk after attaining the power in Telangana state.

Calling upon the Telangana protagonists to come out of the clutches of the Chief Minister, he said that the people of the state were laughing for lengthy press meets of the Chief Minister and playing jokes and telling only lies. Alleging that the democracy was at stake in Telangana after Mr Chandrashekhar Rao attained power, he demanded the Chief Minister to remove VAT of petroleum products if he was really concerned about the people of the state.
