NIZAMABAD: Mild tension prevailed in Issapalli village of Armoor mandal in Nizamabad district with the TRS activists raising a banner of revolt against Nizamabad BJP MP D Aravind for failing to fulfil the promise of securing the Turmeric board to the district.
The BJP MP along with convoy was on his way to Nuthpalli village in Nandipet mandal to participate in various developmental programme on Tuesday. The TRS activists set fire to the tyres blocking the road. Suddenly, the TRS rank and file had attacked the MP’s convoy by pelting stones damaging his car. There was mild tussle between the BJP and TRS activists.
The police also rushed to the tried to disperse the mob. But, they failed to control the agitating both groups as the police were very minimal numbers. Irked over the police lethargy in controlling the mob, the BJP leaders staged a dharna in Armoor mandal headquarters.
The TRS leaders along with the farmers have raised a banner of revolt against the Nizamabad MP for failing to fulfil the promise of securing the Turmeric board. Reminding that the MP had written on a bond paper to securing the Turmeric board, the TRS leaders said that they would not allow the MP to visit their villages without fulfil the promise.
Talking to newsmen, Nizamabad MP Aravind alleged that the police had helped the TRS activists to attack on their convoy. Flaying the police authorities for supporting the TRS, he said that he would dge a complaint with the Lok Sabha privileges committee against the Nizamabad police. He demanded the police to register attempt to murder case against the accused persons.
