Tributes were paid to G Venkat Swamy alias ‘Kaka’ on his birth anniversary
KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar District Congress Committee has paid rich tributes to former Union Minister and senior Congress leader G Venkat Swamy alias ‘Kaka’ on the occasion of his birth anniversary celebrations in Karimnagar town on Wednesday (October 5, 2022).
On this occasion, the DCC organised a programme at the party office in Karimnagar town. Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and others paid floral tributes to the man of the masses Mr Venkat Swamy by garlanding his portrait. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prabhakar said that Mr Venkat Swamy was instrumental in bringing in several legislators for the protection of labour.
He said that Mr Venkat Swamy played a key role in the statehood movement and formation of the Telangana state by giving constructive suggestions. He said that Mr Venkat Swamy, Mr M Satyanarayana Rao and J Chokka Rao played crucial roles during the statehood movements at various levels and were inspirational for the present generation of politicians.
