TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams and other temples administered by the TTD across the country will be closed down for pilgrims on October 25 and November 8 due to solar and lunar eclipses.

The TTD authorities had announced that the temple would be closed for 12 hours from 5.11 pm to 6.27 am due to a solar eclipse (surya graham) on October 25 and the temple would be closed from 8.11 am to 7.30 pm.

Similarly, on November 8 following the Chandra graham from 2.39 pm to 6.27 pm, the temple would be closed from 8.40 am to 7.20 pm.

On this occasion, the devasthanam authorities abolished all special darshan such as break darshan, Srivani, Rs 300 special darshan and other arjitha sevas. The TTD would allow only sarva darshanam (free darshan) after the reopening of the temple after the eclipses and conduct special puja rituals.
