Three nominations were rejected for MLC elections in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: Collector and returning officer RV Karnan has rejected three nominations for the Karimnagar local authorities constituency after scrutiny of nominations on Wednesday.

A total of 27 candidates had filed 53 nominations for the MLC elections. After scrutiny, the returning officer had rejected the nominations of Srikanth Siliveru, Raja Pidishetty and Vemula Vikram Reddy. The authorities had rejected Vikram Reddy nomination because of underage. They had rejected nominations of Srikanth and Raja as their proposals had stated that they had not signed the nomination papers.

After the scrutiny of nominations, a total of 24 candidates had remained in the fray in the elections. The nominations could be withdrawn on Thursday and Friday also
