Telangana Grameena Bank chairperson visits Vemulawada temple town
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MAY 25, 2023: Telangana Grameena Bank (TGB) chairperson Y Shobha offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanams in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district on Thursday.
Later, she visited the Vemulawada TGB branch and interacted with the customers and the bank staff. Talking to newsmen, the TGB chairperson said that the Bank has crossed the total business of Rs 25,000 crore and was having a larger customer base of nearly 40 lakhs. Stating that the bank was concentrating on priority sector lending such as improviding agricultural production, empowerment of women and promoting self-employment, MSE and MUDRA in rural and semi-urban areas, she said that the bank was also concentrating on financing personal loans like housing, education loans, vehicle loans, gold loans etc.

It may be recalled that the Telangana Grameena Bank was established under the Regional Rural Bank Act 1976 and it is a Government scheduled bank. The shareholders of the bank are government of India, State Bank of India and government of Telangana in the ratio of 50:35:15 respectively. The Bank has been operating in 5 erstwhile districts namely Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Rangareddy and Hyderabad (now 18 reorganised districts of Telangana State) with a network of 427 branches with a staff of 1700 personnel.
On this occasion, the TGB chairperson said that the customer satisfaction was their priority and key to the bank’s growth and stability. Regional Manager Sushanth Kumar, Vemulawada branch manager Srinivasa Rao, assistant manager V Manasa, field officer B Santosh Kumar, Cashiers Sravani and Mounika, officer Ravali and others were also present.
