KARIMNAGAR: Students of SRR government arts and science college in Karimnagar town had a field visit to the Karimnagar Milk Producer Company limited also known as Karimnagar dairy in Karimnagar town on Monday to know the first information about the milk processing and preparation of various other products.
Students belonging to the BSc (Chemistry) department of the college along with their Vice Principal and Chemistry department head M Himabindu, faculty members K Bhaskar, G Srinivas, M Sridhar, B Mahipal Reddy and G Laxminarayana and others visited the Karimnagar dairy and inspected the entire dairy premises and the processing of milk and production of milk productions.
The students were enlightened about how the milk was procured to the dairy after procurement from the farmers after undertaking the quality tests through milkotesters to ensure quality. They were also empowered about the milk was processed and pasteurisation process for storing milk and methods of preparing various milk and milk products.
They were shown the preparation of various Karimnagar dairy products such as curd, paneer, buttermilk, flavoured milk, ghee, lassi, sweets such as dood peda, milk cakes, etc. The students also visited the quality control laboratory on the premises for conducting various chemical tests for ensuring the quality of milk and milk products.
