Floral tributes paid to former CM on the occasion of his 13th death anniversary
PEDDAPALLI: Former Minister and Manthani Congress legislator D Sridhar Babu on Thursday unveiled the statue of integrated Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajashekhar Reddy in Keshanapalli village of Manthani Mutharam mandal.
The event was organised on the occasion of Dr Rajashekhar Reddy’s 13th death anniversary and paid floral tributes to the leader. On this occasion, Mr Sridhar Babu recollected the services of the former Chief Minister for the development of the state on all fronts. Recollecting the execution of Sripada Yellampalli project in the district, he said that Mr Rajashekhar Reddy ensured the supply of two tmcs of water to the Manthani Mutharam, Kamanpur, Ramagiri and Manthani mandals from the Yellampalli project.
He said that Dr Reddy announced free power to the farmers, Arogyasri health insurance, 108 and 104 ambulance services, fee reimbursement, crop loan waiver, setting up engineering colleges, model schools, junior colleges and other programmes. Later, the leaders had organised a poor-feeding programme. The Congress local leaders participated in large numbers and paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr Reddy.
