Use of DJ sound systems banned at all Ganesh mandaps and during immersion processions
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: Superintendent of Police BK Rahul Hegde has distributed the clay Ganesh idols donated by Manair voluntary organisation and Santosh electricals and engineering Charitable trust in the Sircilla textile town on Tuesday (August 30).
Speaking on the occasion, the SP called upon the people to worship only clay idols and protect the environment from pollution. He informed the people to discourage the use of idols made of Plaster of Paris (PoP) to save water bodies. He appreciated the organisers of the Manair voluntary organisation for encouraging the people to use clay idols for the last 10 years and other social service programmes.
The SP informed the Ganesh mandap organisers to secure necessary police clearance by informing the local police station authorities and applying only http://policeportal.tspolice.gov.in. Instructing the organisers to secure permission from the electricity department authorities, he said that they had completely banned the use of DJ sounds at the mandaps and during the immersion processions.
Manair voluntary organisation founder Chintoju Bhaskar, locals Narayana, Durga Chary, Ramesh and others were also present.
