Singareni to distribute over 70,000 national flags as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme in the coal belt region

HYDERABAD: The management of Singareni Collieries Company Limited has decided to distribute over 70,000 National flags as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme announced by the Union government on the occasion of the Diamond jubilee celebrations of Indian Independence day.

At a video conference with all the area general managers and other officials, Singareni Directors S Chandrashekhar, N Balaram and D Satyanarayana said that the management had purchased 70,000 and odd national flags to be distributed among the employees, outsourcing and contract employees. Instructing the managers to ensure that the employees and contract labourers hoist the national flag in their households during the celebrations, they said that the national flags would be distributed from August 10 onwards in the entire Singareni area.
They informed the officials to ensure the employees and others hoisted the national flag on their houses from August 13 to 15. They also informed the managers to promote the spirit of patriotism and organise various programmes about the importance of the freedom struggle.
Directing the Area managers to organise various programmes to ensure patriotic fervour in the coal belt region, they informed the managers to organise rallies, plantation of saplings, blood donation camps, rangolies for women, essay writing and painting competitions for students. They instructed the officials to take all measures for the proper hoisting of the national flag by educating the people by distributing pamphlets.
