Singareni to achieve cent per cent vaccination of miners within a week

PEDDAPALLI: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited, which is crusading against the spread of the deadly virus is gearing up to achieve cent per cent vaccination among its employees including coal miners, had decided to provide a second dose of vaccine to all the employees and miners within one week in the entire coal belt area of the state.

Accordingly, Singareni Director (finance and personnel) N Balaram had instructed all the general managers to ensure that the second dose of vaccination to all the employees and miners was completed within one week period. At a video conference with the general managers from the Singareni bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday evening, the Director said that about 40,525 employees have taken their first dose of vaccine and another 2695 employees were yet to take their vaccine.

Only 26,213 persons have taken the second dose of vaccine, he said and instructed the officials to ensure that the remaining 14,312 persons were vaccinated immediately within one week period to achieve a cent per cent inoculation in Singareni. He said that all the hospitals were fully equipped with the necessary vaccine and directed the officials to complete the vaccination process within one week in a time-bound programme.

Chief Medical officer Mandha Srinivas, GM (strategic planning) Surender, deputy chief medical officer Dr Balakotaiah and others participated in the programme.
