Singareni staff empowered on use of GeM portal for purchases

Use of portal ensures transparency and ease of buying
PEDDAPALLI: Following the directions of the Union government, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has launched the one-stop Government-e-Market Place (GeM) national portal for the procurement of goods and services in the company.
In order to create awareness about the importance and use of GeM portal for transparency and ease of buying various products, Singareni Director (operations) S Chandrashekhar had conducted a meeting with the officials at Ramagundam-1 division conference hall on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by SO to GMs, purchase officers, Area tender committee, area technical evaluation committee and others from the RG-1, RG-2, RG-3 and Bhupalapalli division officials.
On this occasion, Mr Chandrashekhar empowered the employees about the importance of the utilisation of a user-friendly GeM portal for purchases. He educated the staff about the utilisation of the portal through powerpoint presentation. RG-1 area manager K Narayana, general manager A Ramesh Rao and others were also present.
