Singareni signs pact with TIDES to impart training in driving for unemployed youth of coal belt
HYDERABAD: Management of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has signed an MoU with the Telangana Institute of Driving Education and Skills (TIDES) Sircilla textile town in Rajanna-Sircilla district to impart free residential training for the unemployed youth in heavy and light-motor vehicles and provide them self-employment opportunities as drivers.
Accordingly, general manager (coordination) K Suryanarayana and TIDES secretary and principal Numjum Riaz signed an agreement at Singareni bhavan in Hyderabad on October 31, 2022.
On this occasion, Mr Suryanarayana said that they had signed an agreement with the government and TIDES to provide one-month residential training on the driving of light and heavy vehicles at the international driving school in Sircilla textile town. During this financial year, the Singareni had decided to impart training to 100 youth. The first batch of 25 candidates would begin in the month of November 2022, he said and added that they would spend Rs 25 lakhs for the training of unemployment in the driving profession.
He called upon the unemployed youth of the Singareni coal belt to utilise the opportunity of choosing driving as a profession and promised to provide placement in Hyderabad and other places. Interested candidates were informed to register their names with the respective area general managers or the Singareni Seva Samithi coordinators or coordinating officers. AGM (Finance) Rajeshwara Rao, DGM (personnel) Vijender Reddy, SOM Krishnamachary, PO S Srikanth, Singareni seva samithi coordinator Kishore and others were also present.
