PEDDAPALLI: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited, which suffered a setback due to the outbreak of a deadly virus during the last financial year, is regaining its past glory in coal production and making strides with record turnover during the first six months of this financial year 2021-2022.
The Singareni had posted a growth rate of 67 per cent for the six months from April to September this financial year by achieving a turnover of Rs 11,920 crore when compared to last year Rs 7,131 crore.
The sales of the Singareni coal had reached Rs 10,071 crore during this financial year when compared to only Rs 5,573 crore during the same period in last financial year with a growth rate of 81 per cent and an increase of Rs 4,499 crore.
On the other hand, the Singareni had made power generation sales of Rs 1,849 crore during the first six months of the financial year when compared to Rs 1,559 crore of last financial year. The company had achieved an overall increase of Rs 4,789 crore in terms of sales of coal and power over the last financial year.
Congratulating the miners and the entire Singareni family, chairman N Sridhar called upon the employees to continue the same spirit and achieve the targeted coal production and reap riches to the company with a huge turnover.
