Singareni making all arrangements for transportation of coal from Naini project in Odisha

HYDERABAD:  In the wake of Singareni Collieries Company Limited about to start the excavation from Naini coal block in Odisha state tentatively from April this year, the management is taking all measures for the transportation of the coal from the block to the other parts of the country.

Accordingly, Singareni Director (Finance, projects and personnel) N Balaram had visited the Angul district on Monday and met Sambalpur MP Ganga Dev Nitish and Collector Siddhartha Shankar Swain urged them to extend all assistance for the excavation of coal and its transportation from Naini block New Patrapada block.

Responding to the suggestions made by the Singareni director, the Collector assured all assistance for the strengthening of 35 kilometers road from Naini block to Majiga railway station for the transportation of the coal. The Collector had also assured to allocate the clearances for the 35 hectares of forest lands which was already cleared by the Union forest ministry.

Expressing happiness over the excavation of coal from his parliament constituency, he welcome industries in his segment and informed the Singareni management to take up facilities to provide basic amenities to the people of the segment as part of its corporate social responsibility along with the excavation of coal. Singareni Mining advisor DN Prasad, advisor Naini project Vijaya Rao, manager Suresh, Naini project officer RP Chowdhary, consultant D Nath and others were also present.
