Singareni land for govt medical college in Ramagundam coal belt

PEDDAPALLI:  In the wake of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sanctioning a government medical college in the Ramagundam coal belt area in Peddapalli district, the district authorities have intensified their survey work for the identification of suitable land for setting up the medical college in the coal belt region.

Accordingly, Collector S Sangeetha Satyanarayana visited the Ramagundam coal belt area on Monday and interacted with the Singareni and revenue officials for the identification of suitable government land in the region. The district authorities would submit a report to the government after identification of at least 15 acres of Singareni land for setting up a medical college. Based on the report, the government would take a final decision.

Additional Joint Collector V Laxminarayana, Singareni RG-1 general manager K Narayana, Peddapalli RDO Shankar Kumar, Ramagundam tahsildar K Ramesh, area survey officer M Sarvotham, estate officer Bala Subramanyam and others participated in the meeting.
