Singareni employees to get wage board arrears of Rs 1726 crore within a month
Each employee would get a minimum of Rs 4 lakhs arrears as per NCWA agreement
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 01, 2023: The management of Singareni Collieries Company Limited has decided to pay arrears of 11th National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) amount to Rs 1726 crore within a month before Dasara festivities.
Incidentally, each Singareni employee would be getting an arrears of minimum of Rs 4 lakhs for a period of 23 months of the NCWA agreement.
Accordingly, SCCL chairman and managing director N Sridhar conducted a meeting with the officials concerned at Singareni bhavan uin Hyderabad on Friday. On this occasion, he had directed the authorities to pay the arrears as early as possible for the benefit of the miners. He said that they would provide the benefits to the coal miners who had retired. He stated that the Singareni was the first company to implement the NCWA wage board agreement. Directors N Balaram and others officials participated in the meeting.
