Singareni achieves record turnover of Rs 8,180 crore in first four months of this year

PEDDAPALLI:  In spite of the pandemic situation, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has achieved a record turnover of Rs 8,180 crore during the first four months of this financial year and registered a growth rate of 72 per cent when compared to last financial year turnover of Rs 4,748 crore.

The profits earned during the first four months of this financial year include Rs 800 crore when compared to Rs 300 crore losses during the last financial year. Similarly, the Singareni earned Rs 6,949 crore only through the sale of coal in the first four months of this financial year when compared to Rs 3,816 crore last year.

The Singareni thermal power project in Jaipur of Mancherial district had also earned a turnover of Rs 1,231 crore when compared to Rs 932 crore last year. Singareni chairman and managing director N Sridhar expressed his happiness over the record turnover and profits during the first four months of this year. He claimed that the measures taken by the management to check the spread of the deadly virus had yielded good results with the coal production, dispatch and power generation at the thermal power plant.
