KARIMNAGAR: Sakshi, one-stop centre, state programme officers Dr Sunitha and Blessy Madhukar have expressed their satisfaction over the functioning of Sakhi centre in Karimnagar town for providing all sorts of assistance to women and children facing assault and abuse.
The Sakhi state programme officers visited the Karimnagar town on Friday and interacted with the district women, children, disabled and senior citizens department and interacted with the district welfare officer M Sharada and reviewed the department and other schemes. Later, they visited the Sakhi centre in the town and conducted a review meeting with the staff.
The state team inquired about the facilities available at the centre and the services being provided to the victims of violence. They also inquired about the services and support being provided by other departments for the safety and security of womenfolk and children. Sakhi Administrator D Laxmi, legal counsellor Samatha Reddy, social counsellors Padma and Renuka, caseworkers Padma and Rajitha, medical workers Sangeetha and Rani and others were also present.
