PEDDAPALLI: The newly-wed couple, who created a sensation with dance on a popular folk song of “Bulletu bandi ekki” during a marriage procession in Mancherial district a few days ago, were felicitated by the Alaya foundation, Dalit organisations at Ambedkar bhavan in Godavarikhani on Thursday.
The bride Sai Shreya from Mancherial district and groom Ashok from Hyderabad had created won accolades with scintillating performance on the ‘Bulletku bandi” song during their marriage procession. The video song had become viral throughout the world for its beautiful performance and a good message of the song when the bride bids adieu to her parents’ house and joins in-laws house.
Alaya foundation CEO T Ramesh Babu, deputy CEO M Rajender, Ambedkar youth association leaders B Madhu, Konkati Laxman and others felicitated the couple with shawl and garlands for bringing reputation to the Telangana state with their performance on the folk song.
