HYDERABAD: The Telangana state government had decided to inaugurate the newly constructed Secretariat building tentatively on February, 17, 2023, according to Minister for R&B V Prashanth Reddy, here on Sunday.
Initially, the authorities have decided to open the Secretariat on January 18, 2023. But, due to delay in various works, the authorities have decided to first inaugurate the sixth floor where Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would be camping and discharge his duties.
Officials have fixed February 17, 2023 for the inauguration of the sixth floor of the Secretariat, which was named as Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat’ to coincide with the Chief Minister’s birthday celebrations.
The new Secretariat complex is a seven-storey structure with a built-up area of 7 lakh square feet and equipped with all modern facilities. It has been constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 650 crore.
