Second dose of Covishield vaccination at all PHCs from Monday: Collector

KARIMNAGAR: In order to intensify the drive of vaccination of all sections of society, Collector K Shashanka has directed the district medical and health officials to administer the Covishield vaccine to the people, who have taken the first dose of the vaccine, at all the primary health centres (PHC) in the mandals, area hospitals (Huzurabad and Jammikunta) and district headquarter hospital (Karimnagar town) from Monday onwards.
He said that the second dose of the Covishield vaccine would be given to the people only after the completion of 98 days of the time interval. Similarly, the second dose of Covaxin would be given to the people after completion of the time interval of 28 days at RTC dispensary falling under the jurisdiction of UPHC Vidyanagar and SR digi school at Ashoknagar for the UPHC Mohtaj Khana jurisdiction.
The first and second doses of the Covishield vaccine would be continued regularly at the Butti Rajaram colony UPHC from 9 am to 4 pm. The students and people going to foreign countries with work permits could visit the UPHC and avail the vaccine, according to DMHO Dr Juvaria here today.
Prajavani from Monday
The Collector also stated that they would revive the weekly Prajavani (public grievances redressal) programme from Monday onwards at the Collectorate in Karimnagar town. They would conduct the weekly dial your Collector programme from 10 am to 11 am and later receive petitions from the public at the Prajavani programme at RDO office in the Collectorate.
