SCR to run Ashadha Ekadashi special train for Pandharpur from Adilabad on June 28

ADILABAD: The South Central Railway will run the Ashadha Ekadashi special train between Adilabad and Pandharpur pilgrim centre in Maharashtra on June 28 in order to clear the heavy rush of pilgrims expected on the route. The special train starts at 11 am on June 28 from Adilabad and reaches its destination at 9.20 am the next day.
A press release by SCR also said that the train No 07501 will arrive and depart from Kurduwadi station. Lakhs of pilgrims converge at Pandharpur for darshan of God Vithoba at the annual Wari or yatra during the Ashadha month.
Pandharpur town located on the banks of Chandrabhaga river is part of Sholapur district in Maharashtra and it is also known as Dakshin Kashi. Thousands of pilgrims from Adilabad, including Adivasis head towards the pilgrim centre every year.
