SBI assures all support for diversified activities of Singareni

PEDDAPALLI: State Bank of India (commercial banking and global marketing) managing director Ashwini Bhatia has assured all assistance for the Singareni Collieries Company Limited for its diversified activities such as power generation.
The SBI MD gave this assurance to Singareni director (finance and personnel) N Balram in Hyderabad on Friday. Mr Balram had called on the SBI MD and discussed various issues pertaining to the diversified activities of the Singareni including power generation such as thermal and solar.
The Singareni director informed Mr Bhatia that the company had planned to generate additional 1500 MWs of solar power in the coming five years period to the existing 300 MWs of solar power and sought the bank support. Inspired by the Singareni novel initiatives for diversification activities, the SBI MD assured all assistance for the solar power generation.
Salary account insurance amount
On this occasion, the SBI had also assured to increase the salary account insurance from the existing Rs 15 lakhs to Rs 30 lakhs for the accidental insurance coverage of the Singareni employees account holders. Singareni additional general manager Rajeshwara Rao, general manager (commercial banking) Phanindra, DGM Ravishankar and others were also present.
