Sakhi centre permanent building inaugurated
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 02, 2023: Minister for Civil Supplies and BC Welfare Gangula Kamalakar has formally inaugurated the newly construction permanent building for Sakhi – One Stop centre on its own premises in Sapthagiri colony in Karimnagar town on Monday.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 65.19 lakhs, the Sakhi building is equipped with all facilities for the protection of womenfolk. The Sakhi centre would provide all assistance for women and children facing assault and abuse.
On this occasion, the Minister said that the Sakhi one stop centre would provide all assistance to the womenfolk and children, who are subjected to any kind of violence and atrocities. Collector Dr B Gopi, Mayor Y Sunil Rao, TS child rights protection committee member Anumandla Shoba Rani, CWC chairman Dhanalakshmi, municipal corporators D Mahes, G Jayashree, Gande Madhavi, Karimnagar Bar Association president Raghunandhan Rao, DWO Saraswathi, district marketing officer Padmavathi, CDPOs Sabitha, Kavitha, Kasturi, Sakhi administrator D Lakshmi and others were also present.
