PEDDAPALLI: “The safety of the coal miners is more important than the production of the coal. There is no compromise on the safety of the workforce and it is taking all precautionary measures to prevent accidents at all the mines”, said N Sridhar, chairman of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited.

The C&MD held a review meeting with the officials at Singareni bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. Expressing concern over the mine mishap at SRP-3 in Mancherial district which claimed four miners recently, Mr Sridhar said that the miners’ safety was more important than productivity.
