Rich tributes paid to Kesarimal Karwa on his 90th birth anniversary

People recollect his philanthropic activities and guidance to young businessmen

KARIMNAGAR: Rich tributes were paid to leading businessman and philanthropist of Karimnagar district Kesarimal Karwa on the occasion of his 90th birth anniversary celebrations at his SVG granite quarry in Odyaram village of Gangadhara mandal on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Monday.
All the Marwadi community members and other business people have made a beeline to pay floral tributes to Mr Kesarimal at his memorial at the quarry. On this occasion, a special ‘Sundarakanda’ bhajan (devotional programme) was organised by the musicians from Pune.
Prominent among those who paid floral tributes to Mr Kesarimal at the memorial include; former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, former APSRTC chairman Gone Prakash Rao, Lok Satta district secretary Prakash Holla, Karimnagar Dairy advisor V Hanumantha Reddy and others. His family members Bhagwandas Karwa, Venugopal Karwa, Arjun Karwa, Krishna Karwa and others were also present.
It may be recalled that Mr Kesarimal Karwa breathed his last in sleep while holidaying along with his family members on January 11, 2020, in Dubai. A renowned businessman of the district, he was a role model for the budding business persons. He was a close associate of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and former MP J Chokka Rao. He also actively participated in the social issues by working with the Lok Satta udyama samstha and Karimnagar consumers’ council.
As a humanitarian, Mr Kesarimal was always at the forefront to support needy persons. He was also a regular contributor of essential commodities and financial assistance to the orphanages and old-age homes in the district. He had won accolades in the district for encouraging bright students by providing them with financial assistance for their education.
