Rajamannar on Kalpavruksha vahanam blesses devotees
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 21, 2023: Sri Malayappa Swamy posed majestically as Rajamannar and blessed his devotees on Kalpavruksha vanaham on Thursday, the fourth day of Srivari Brahmotsavam at Tirumala.
According to the legend, Kalpavruksham, the wish-granting divine tree, was brought from heaven by Viswakarama and made Brahmotsavam vahanam for Sri Malayappa Swamy. The four mada streets reverberated with chants of Govinda Namams as the procession paraded forwarded. As usual, Lord Brahma in his invisible form led the procession sitting in the wooden chariot. Well-decorated horses and elephants followed the Brahmaratham. The Tirumala pontiffs, TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, EO AV Dharma Reddy and others were present.
Cultural programmes from Telangana special attraction
Santosh team from Hyderabad performed Perni dance, Sukanya team from Tirupati portrayed Sri Krishna Tulabharam and CH Prashanth team from Telangana impressed with Oggudolu. Similarly, Chennai-based Bharata Kala Akademi from Chennai performed Gajje Nrityam. Other art forms included Drum Instruments, Ghata Vinyasam, Bonala dance, Lambadi dance, Kolatam from Visakhapatnam, Legim instrument entertained the devotees. A total of 226 artists participated in 10 art groups. Program Officer of HDPP Rajagopala Rao, HDPP Secretary Dr. Srinivasulu, Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Dr. Ananda Theerthacharyulu are supervising these programs.
