Rahul Gandhi alleges Telangana resources snatched away by KCR and his family members
JAYASHANKAR-BHUPALAPALLI, NOVEMBER 02, 2023: Alleging that the Telangana resources were being stolen away by the BRS leaders and denying the same to the people, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that this election was a battle between the ‘Dorala Telangana’ headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and ‘Prajala Telangana’ led by the Congress.
Mr Gandhi participated in the women empowerment meeting in the interior Ambetpalli village of Mahadevpur mandal on Thursday. Ambetpalli was once a stronghold of the naxalites. Addressing a well-attended gathering, Mr Rahul said that the Congress alone would provide democratic government and stand with mothers, sisters, unemployed youth of the Telangana state.
Reiterating that the Congress would implement the six guarantees after attaining power, he said that they would provide LPG cylinder at Rs 500 only after attaining power and provide Rs 2,500 every women under Mahalakshmi scheme and provide transportation in TSRTC buses.
Alleging that the BRS government had converted the Kaleshwaram project into ATM and siphoned off over Rs 1 lakh crore from the people of the state, he said that the BRS government had burdened every family to repay the debt incurred by the KLIP. He asked the people to compare the projects constructed by Congress government such as SRSP, Srisailam, Nagarajuna sagar and others with Kaleshwaram.
He said that the fight in the elections is between Congress and BRS, but BRS, BJP and MIM were fighting together. Earlier, Mr Rahul Gandhi visited the Medigadda (Laxmi) barrage of KLIP and inspected the damaged pillars of the project and sinking of the bridge. He also took photographs of the project and its damages. TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Batti Vikramarka, Manthani legislator D Sridhar Babu and others were also present.
