Ponnam requests Bandi Sanjay Kumar to react to the realignment of NH-563

KARIMNAGAR:  Former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar has urged BJP state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar to look into the issue of execution of the National Highway number 563 from Jagtial to Warangal via Karimnagar as per the original alignment and benefit the people of the district.

He said that the NH-563 was aligned from Jagtial to Warangal via Velichala to Padmanagar cross roads, Karimnagar by-pass road, Alugunuru bridge, Manakondur to Warangal town. However, Telangana State Planning Board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar had realigned the national highway for his selfish interests by diverting the road from Kothapalli, Nagunuru, Ellabotharam and PIMS medical college.

In an open letter addressed to Karimnagar MP and released to the media here on September 25, 2022, Mr Prabhakar stated that the National Highway authorities had also installed signboards stating that Karimnagar by-pass road as NH-563 and flayed the TRS leaders for diverting the road for selfish interests. He also stated that Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao stated that Mr Vinod Kumar had no role in the realignment of the NH-563 and it was done by BJP leader P Muralidhar Rao.

Similarly, the TRS leader and former ZP co-option member stated that the NH-563 was realigned only at the behest of Mr Vinod Kumar. In the wake of contradictory statements, Mr Prabhakar urged the BJP MP to clarify the statement on the execution of the NH-563. He also stated that the realignment of the NH-563 would cost dearly for the farming community as they would lose their precious agricultural lands.

What about the arc structure alignment of warangal – mancherial highway part of vijayawada – nagpur NH?. The alignment is proposed to construct two new bridges on river godavari near sundilla barrage, instead of using the two existing rajiv highway bridges on river godavari at godavarikhani- mancherial.
