Peddapalli legislator put under house arrest, Congress leader arrested at Odela Mallanna temple

Congress leader Vijaya Ramana Rao dared the Peddapalli legislator to visited Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy devasthanam in Odela and swears that he was not involved in the illegal sand mining
PEDDAPALLI: The Peddapalli police have detained Peddapalli TRS legislator Dasari Manohar Reddy at his house in Peddapalli town and prevented him from visiting the ancient and historic Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy devasthanam in Odela mandal on Sunday (October 2, 2022).
It may be mentioned here that the former legislator and Congress leader Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao alleged that the TRS legislator was encouraging illegal sand mining on the river Manair and destroying the natural resources in the district. Alleging that the TRS legislator had collected a huge amount as ‘mamools’ for encouraging sand mining, the Congress leader dared the Peddapalli MLA to swear in the name of God at Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Odela mandal on October 2, 2022, if he was not involved in the sand mining.
As challenged, the Congress leader visited the temple shrine on Sunday morning. However, the police prevented him from entering the temple shrine. But, he swears in the name of God by holding the portrait of the temple deity that illegal sand mining was being encouraged by the TRS legislator.
