ADILABAD: As part of celebrating the Azadi ka amrit mahotsav marking the 75th year of Independence, the Adilabad district legal services authority has decided to organise a pan-India legal awareness campaign from October 2 to November 14.

According to district judge BS Jagjeevan Kumar and district legal services authority secretary Kshama Deshpande, the district legal services authority would visit each and every house in the rural areas and redress their problems by providing necessary legal assistance. Accordingly, they had constituted a panel including the judicial officer, panel lawyer, paralegal volunteer, law students, representatives of voluntary organisations, social activists, village elders and others and solve the problems.
They said that they would visit all the villages as per the Supreme Court directives in the district and provide legal assistance to the needy people. They would provide legal assistance to the rural masses free of cost through legal services authority by conducting Lok adalats.
They appealed to the police, revenue and municipal authorities to extend their support for the legal services authority. They also directed the authorities concerned to erect publicity posters about the legal awareness camps in all villages.
