Pan India legal awareness camps from Oct 2 to Nov 14 in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: As part of celebrating the Azadi ka amrit mahotsav marking the 75th year of Independence, the Karimnagar district legal services authority has decided to organise a pan-India legal awareness campaign from October 2 to November 14.

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Thursday, District Judge Priyadarshini said that they would visit each and every house in the rural areas and redress their problems by providing necessary legal assistance. Accordingly, they had constituted a panel including the judicial officer, panel lawyer, para legal volunteer, law students, representatives of voluntary organisations, social activists, village elders and others and solve the problems.
In the integrated Karimnagar district, there are about 1279 villages, and they would visit all the villages as per the Supreme Court directives. She said that they would provide legal assistance to the rural masses free of cost through legal services authority by conducting Lok adalats.
She appealed to the police, revenue and municipal authorities to extend their support for the legal services authority. She also directed the authorities concerned to erect publicity posters about the legal awareness camps in all villages. Collector RV Karnan, Additional district judge Bhavani Chandra, legal services authority secretary Sujay, ACP Madanlal, municipal deputy commissioner Rajeshwara Rao, Karimnagar RDO Anand Kumar and others were also present.
