PEDDAPALLI: The NTPC Ramagundam received the HMTV (Hyderabad Media Television House) Business Excellence Award 2021 on Sunday under Environment Management Initiative category.
The award ceremony was eventfully held in the presence of governor Dr T Soundararajan and Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Development of North Eastern region G Kishan Reddy, NSE Director K Narasihma Murthy was also present during the occasion.
The award was received by NTPC Ramagundam Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar and AGM (EEMG and Business excellence) Manoj Kumar Jha.
This award was conferred on NTPC Ramagundam in the area of its contribution in Environment protection and sustainability initiatives like Geo polymer road using ash, ash utilisation, Mini forest creation using Miyawaki methods, Mass plantations with Municipal Corporation, water recirculation from ash pond; conservation and pioneering in addition of solar PV plant (land PV plant and floating solar PV plant) in Telangana state.
