NTPC Ramagundam distributes vegetable seeds to farmers

PEDDAPALLI: As part of the 75th Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, the NTPC-Ramagundam under its CSR activities has distributed 11 varieties of vegetable seeds (creeper, leafy and normal vegetables) to 250 farmers belonging to 17 project-affected villages worth Rs 6.66 lakhs
At a programme organized at Life skill academy-II near Sai Seva Samithi in the NTPC township on Tuesday, Head of HR Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan distributed the vegetable seeds and asked the farmers to strengthen their income for their families under income generation. The NTPC would continue its help to ameliorate the farmers living standards, she added.
She further asked the farmers to use these seeds and follow the scientific way of farming for better earning. The seeds included brinjal, ridge gourd, Bottle gourd, Okra (ladies finger), bitter gourd, tomato, green chillies, spinach, amartas, coriander etc. CSR Team led by DGM (HR-CSR) DS Kumar and other CSR officials were present on the occasion.
