NTPC Ramagundam conducts medical camp for girl students

PEDDAPALLI: The NTPC Ramagundam in association with the NTPC Dhanvantari hospital on Wednesday launched the medical camp for the selection of 120 girls for a month-long girl residential workshop.

The medical tests for over a total of 209 girl students of class five covering 26 neighbouring schools will be conducted from 9th-14th, March 2022.

On the first day of the medical tests, a total of 65 girl students covering five schools of the project affected villages were examined. This unique initiative will give a good learning opportunity for the girl students as they would be exposed to new and modern concepts of learning.

The children will be taught about ways to conserve the environment, health and hygiene, besides lessons in English, Hindi, Maths and Science. Around 10 per cent of the best-performing students would get an opportunity to pursue further studies in the best of NTPC township schools free of cost till class 12th class.

The medical camp was successfully conducted under the guidance of AGM (HR) Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan, AGM (medical) Dr Madhu Singh and DGM (HR) DS Kumar. NTPC Dhanwantari hospital medical officer Dr M Guhana and other hospital & CSR staff were present on the occasion.
