NTPC Ramagundam celebrates Rajbhasha day with enthusiasm

PEDDAPALLI: With an objective of wide publicity of Rajbhasha Hindi in official work as well as in daily communication, the Hindi Diwas was celebrated enthusiastically at NTPC-Ramagundam/Telangana on Tuesday.
NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar inaugurated the Hindi diwas celebrations and declared the commencement of Hindi Pakhwada (fortnight) besides administering the Rajbhasha pledge to the participants. The Chief Guest along with others released the Rajbhasha appeal and asked all to use Rajbhasha Hindi as much as possible in their day-to-day official work.
The Hindi language has immense power to take all languages together besides it is easy to speak and connect with all, he added. As a covid protocol, while few employees were present at the celebration, most of the employees connected through virtual mode.
On this occasion, the Rajbhasha appeal from Home Minister, Power Minister and NTPC CMD was read out respectively by Head of HR Vijaya Lakshmi M, Soumendra Das, GM (O&M) and P K Laad, GM (TS).
The occasion also marked the Hindi Signature Competition among the general managers, lecture on the significance of Indian languages by Dr K Sangeeta, assistant professor, Hindi department, Osmania University and inauguration of Hindi Website (Godavari Intranet).
The much sought-after programme of the day was Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan wherein NTPC employees from different states recited poems in their mother tongue. Srikant Sharma, M Laxmaiah and S S Swamy in Telugu; Indumati in Tamil; Divya in Malayalam; Sridhar in Kannada; Mayukh Biswas and Prasenjit Pal in Bengali; Gunjan Patel in Gujarati; B K Jha, Gairik Guru, S STrivedia, A C Thakur in Hindi and G S Gawra in Punjabi recited the poems which vividly showcased the rich Indian languages and mesmerized the audience.
The opening day programme was concluded with the distribution of Hindi Books among the Poets, office bearers of Unions and associations, employees and CISF personnel.
During the fortnight celebrations, many activities are planned both offline and online for NTPC, CISF and ICH employees and their family members. Withholding of cultural and prize distribution, the fortnight event will conclude on September 28, 2021.
