NTPC Raising Day-2022 celebrated at Southern Region Headquarters

HYDERABAD: NTPC Raising Day-2022 was celebrated at Southern Region Headquarters, Secunderabad on November 07, 2022. Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr Naresh Anand, RED (South) hoisted NTPC Flag, followed by NTPC Geet sung by all. On this occasion, the dignitaries released balloons to mark the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Anand highlighted the glorious history of NTPC during the last 47 years and its contribution to the development of the country. Though the company has around 17 per cent of total national capacity, still it contributes around 21 per cent of total power generation due to its focus on high efficiency, he added. He also spoke on new initiatives and achievements of NTPC with a focus on Renewable energy and the adoption of new technologies.
He also threw light on the performance of NTPC Power Plants in the Southern Region besides opportunities and challenges ahead. He also spoke on Solar Projects in Southern Region besides focusing on sustainability and impactful CSR.
During this occasion, the chief guest along with other senior officials presented awards to the winners of different competitions held during Hindi Pakhwada and Vigilance Awareness Week. The winners of Recreation Club events were also felicitated.
The occasion also marked the distribution of 100 Blankets to associates of NTPC under NTPC CSR activities. Mrs Renuka Anand, President and other office bearers Dakshin Deepanjali Mahila Samithi; NTPC officials and their family members were present in large numbers on this occasion.
