HYDERABAD: The National Thermal Power Corporation limited Raising day-2021 was celebrated at the Southern Region Headquarters in Secunderabad on Sunday.
Chief General Manager (IT) Mr Shylesh Srinivasan hoisted the NTPC Flag, followed by NTPC Geet sung by all.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Srinivasan highlighted the glorious history of NTPC during the last 46 years and its contribution in the development of the country. Amidst the Corona pandemic, the company is performing exceedingly well. The Corona pandemic has failed to dent the spirit of NTPC in providing an uninterrupted power supply to the nation. Every power station of the Maharatna Company has risen to the occasion and is performing at its optimum level. The COVID-19 crisis has underlined the significance of the power utilities, which have assumed greater significance as electricity is extremely critical in the smooth functioning of several sectors of the economy, he added.
He also threw light on the performance of NTPC Power Plants in the Southern Region and the progress of the upcoming Telangana Project and Solar PV projects besides the challenges ahead. During this occasion, the chief guest along with others presented awards to the winners of different competitions held during Hindi Pakhwada and Vigilance Awareness Week.
GM (HR) Mr Mani Kant, GM (HR), the NTPC officials and their family members, office bearers of ladies club and others were present in large numbers.
