Navarathri celebrations get underway at Vemulawada shrine

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: Goddess Sridevi Sharan Navarathri mahotsavams got off to a start on a religious note at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district on September 26, 2022.
Temple priests performed special pujas for the presiding deities at the shrine. The first incarnation of Mother Durga is Goddess Shailaputri. The Goddess was colourfully decorated at the shrine. The celebrations would be held till October 5 (Dasara festival).
In the meantime, the devotees rushed swelled considerably following the declaration of Dasara holidays to the educational institutions. The pilgrims had arrived in large numbers to witness Navaratri celebrations at the ancient temple shrine, which is colourfully decorated with flowers and illuminations.
The temple authorities had made all arrangements for the devotees visiting the temple shrine.
