National Unity Day observed

KARIMNAGAR: The National Unity day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed by the volunteers of the National Service Scheme and the faculty at the Satavahana University in Karimnagar town on Sunday by taking the pledge to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of Ironman of India and first deputy Prime Minister of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
On this occasion, Registrar M Varaprasad recollected the services of the first Home Minister and called upon the students to follow the principles of Patel. NSS coordinator K Srivani said Mr Patel strived for the unity in the country. Programme officers Y Vijaya Kumar, D Vijay Kumar and others were also present.
