NAFSCOB chairman fascinated with nature’s beauty of overflowing UMD

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA:  Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao, chairman of NAFSCOB, TSCAB and Karimnagar DCCB, was fascinated with the nature’s beauty of the overflowing Upper Manair Dam (UMD) project in Narmal village of Gambhiraopet mandal.

Mr Rao visited the UMD medium irrigation project on Friday to have a glimpse of the overflowing project following the incessant rains and copious inflows into the project from its catchment areas. On this occasion, the NAFSCOB chairman offered payers to the river Goddess by showing flowers and breaking the coconuts.

He advised the Revenue, Police and Irrigation officials to take all necessary measures at the project site as the tourists rush would increase following the overflowing of the UMD. He also advised the visitors to be cautious during their visit to the project site.  It may be recalled that the UMD was constructed by Nizam in the late 1940s.
